We woke up to the sound of rain.

In the olden days, we camped in our old pickup. It had a shell over the bed with a carpeted platform from side to side mounted over the top of the wheel wells. We slept on the platform, which with the help of Thermarest pads was comfortable enough, but we didn’t have enough room to sit up in the bed. Cooking was done on the truck’s tailgate. It was miserable in rainy weather.

Many’s the time in rainy conditions, we’d abandon our camping plans and head to the nearest motel.

But not this time. We’re planning to stay right here, snug and dry in our little trailer. We’ve got one bar of LTE cell coverage and plenty of beer, wine…

…and food to consume. My only worry is that at some time today, we may need to get Bob (our portable wastewater tote) down and drain our gray and black water tanks. That will come later this afternoon, after the dishes are done.
